Tips & Hints

Select Fabrics

Drag & Drop Fabrics

On the Fabric Tab, simply click on a fabric tile and, while holding the mouse button down, drag it onto the crib bedding image in the Design Palette on the left. As you drag the fabric over the image, you will see yellow highlighting that marks your destination. Release the mouse button to drop the fabric.

Hint: To speed things along you can also drag and drop fabrics from one part to another.

Show Only Matching Fabrics

When the "Show Only Matching Fabrics" box is checked, the designer will only show you fabrics whose colors match the colors in the fabrics you have already chosen. Sometimes, however, you may want to try out some fabrics without worrying about the color scheme. Whether you are coordinating a nursery for your favorite sports team or simply want to expand your creative options, all you need to do to view fabrics regardless of how well they match your design is uncheck the option to show only matching fabrics. If you should choose one or more fabrics which we suspect might not match due to subtle differences in color not easily detected on your computer screen, we will offer you a warning that is visible in the design area.

Hint: Simply uncheck the "Show Only Matching Fabrics" box to mix and match any color schemes. As a precaution we'll show you a warning when fabric colors do not match.

The "My Fabrics" Area

Once you have selected a fabric to use in your design, it is very likely that you will want to use it for other parts of your design. To help save time just use the "My Fabrics" area, which will appear under the Fabric Browser when you start applying fabrics. Here you will see a fabric tile for each of the fabrics currently being used in your design.

Check Your Progress

As you apply fabrics, the Progress Bar will indicate how many fabric areas are configured. Clicking on "Show" will mark your twelve customizable fabric areas. The markers have different meanings:

  • Green: This part has been configured.
  • White: This part has not been configured and still needs a fabric.
  • Gray: This part has not been configured but is not part of your custom design.

Hint: You can still drop & drag fabrics while the markers are visible.

Change Your Nursery Décor

The Options Tab

Be sure to use the Options Tab to envision your nursery by selecting a crib finish and color, a floor finish and color and a wall color. This is a really fun part of the process!

Hint: Also use the Options tab to customize the length and style of your crib skirt.

Select Items to Purchase

Build Your Cart

The summary area allows you to choose which products you wish to buy. Each checked item will be added to your cart. Simply unclick items you don't want. Your item costs will update automatically. When you're ready, click the "Add to Cart" button to checkout.

Hint: You may receive a checkout warning informing you that one or more parts have not been configured yet. This means the design is incomplete.

Build Your Registry

Instead of adding products to your cart, you can add them to your gift registry by clicking the "Add to My Registry" link above the "Add to Cart" button. If you don't have a gift registry with us yet, you will be guided through creating one and your custom design set will be added then.

Hint: Use Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, and your favorite blogs to tell your friends and family about your registry.
