Wholesale Crib Bedding

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

Okay, this is as close as you are going to get to wholesale crib bedding. We have designed, manufactured, and sold our bedding to upscale baby specialty stores for years. Starting about 9 years ago we decided to offer our products directly to the consumer. We’ve really worked hard and leveraged being the manufacturer on a few select collections to bring you the same very high quality craftmanship and fabrics but at much lower prices. We hope you like them!

High End Baby Bedding

Wednesday, August 19th, 2009

I know that in the past when I have been looking for a particular product and I am exploring an unfamiliar industry like a lot of other people I’ll check and see what is the most expensive. It’s human nature to associate price with quality–especially when you simply just don’t know much about the particular products for which you are shopping.

With baby bedding you may start out a searching for “high end baby bedding” or “luxury baby bedding”. You may find baby bedding sold at a particular store and sort by price high-to-low just to see what’s “the best” out there. Being in the crib bedding and juvenile products industry for many years I have seen too often that high prices does not necessarily mean “high end”. In fact, sometimes I am shocked to find a particular bedding collection or crib set that is priced so high (sometimes over $1,000) when the quality of fabrics and workmanship is no better than what we offer.

Factors such as the cost of making the bedding, the number or times the bedding must change hands from manufacturer to store to customer, as well as the brand name, will dictate the price–often it’s not the quality!

At Carousel Designs, we use only the finest fabrics coupled with superior quality standards to manufacture our baby bedding and nursery décor. We’ve been doing this for over 21 years and thoroughly inspect every product that we make before it leaves our shop located in Douglasville, Georgia. Everything is made right here in the USA so it is very easy for us to ensure that every step of the process maintains our strict quality standards.

Since we sell direct to the consumer on our website babybedding.com we are able to pass the savings of having no traditional retail markup along to our customers. Back in the 90’s when we only sold our products to the better baby specialty stores it was typical to find our 4-piece crib bedding sets sold as high as $500-$700. Since then, we have actually continued to improve our quality standards while selling our products at much lower prices. Our current 4-piece crib sets are usually between $200-$300 and as sometimes as low as $99! Check out our outlet section to see many first-quality crib sets offered at deeply discounted prices.

In an era where you’ll find the terms “factory direct” or “direct to the consumer” overused and not always accurate know that you are truly buying directly from the factory with us.

If you have the opportunity, please read some of our customer testimonials. You’ll find several messages submitted by actual customers consistently praising the quality of our bedding and many more saying how they were very “surprised” or “shocked” with the quality. These are real examples where people have traditionally associated price with quality. That’s why you simply can’t measure our quality by comparing prices at Carousel Designs to the prices of baby bedding offered by the competition. It’s apples and oranges.

Finding Unique Baby Names

Friday, January 23rd, 2009

If you’re the kind of person who thinks about baby names at the most random times, then you can appreciate my mini obsession. I am a sucker for unique baby names, and will get inspiration from the most unlikely of sources. For example, a globe.

I scan the world’s countries and cities looking for potential baby names. I’ve come up with quite a few good ones…. Cairo is one of my favorites. Also topping the list is Parma (city in Italy) and Celaya (city in Mexico).

I do believe that map-scanning is a great way to find a baby name. However, it’s important not to get carried away. It would be quite unfortunate for a baby to end up with a food-sounding name like Chile, Turkey or Hungary. There are thousands of cities and countries that have no business in a baby book. Keep it unique, but not odd!

Some popular baby name websites that might be able to help are: babynames.com, the social security administration, yeah baby and baby zone.

Customized Onesies Make Economical Baby Gifts

Thursday, January 22nd, 2009

When my wife was expecting, I found myself suddenly surrounded by expecting couples. Shower invitations poured in and it seemed like there was an event every couple of weeks.  Having a limited budget and lots of shower invitations can mean reserving premium gifts for close friends and family and more budget-oriented gifts for coworkers and acquaintances

Keeping within budget while bringing a cool gift to the shower requires using a bit of creativity.  Dr. Seuss books are always a hit and today there are lots of board books that are perfect for babies who love to tear paper.  But another idea I recently discovered is creating custom onesies.  Makeaonesie.com is a great place to create a custom onesie (or sleeper or romper) for less than $20.  They have an intelligent interface where custom onesies can be made and visually rendered in seconds.

I haven’t ordered from them before and I wonder if others can share their experience.

Black and White Crib Bedding Sets Highlight Custom Creations

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

Since we first launched the design your own baby bedding application one month ago, there have been a number of interesting and creative designs created by our customers.  In an industry that is often dominated by pinks and blues, it was quite a surprise to see several custom creations composed in black and white.

Here are a few of the black and white crib bedding sets that have been picked as staff favorites.  In the future, we will certainly highlight other custom crib bedding creations.

The first set is simple yet very modern.  The comforter has the front side in solid white with the back and trim in solid black.  The crib skirt is solid white with a black trim and the bumper features the same solid white with black trim configuration.  This set also features a solid white crib sheet.

The next custom black and white crib bedding collection features bold black and white stripes and utilizes the black deck fabric.  The bumper and crib skirt both highlight the black deck fabric and feature a solid black trim.  The comforter has black deck fabric on the front and solid black on the back and trim.  The crib sheet is solid black.

The third black and white custom crib bedding set features a mixture of solids, stripes, dots and checks – all in black and white.  The crib bumper has an interesting combination of black gingham and black and white dots in alternating panels with black and white striped ties and trim.  The front of the comforter is in black gingham, the back is in black and white stripe and the trim is in black and white dots.  The crib sheet is solid black and the crib skirt is created with black gingham and trimmed in black and white stripes.
